11. Iowa St.
⤴️ Last week: No. 18
Back in early January, there was feeling within the Big 12 that Iowa State (18-5) had the most talent in the league. You look up now and it's not even arguable. From Marial Shayok to Lindell Wigginton to Cam Lard to Talen Horton-Tucker to Tyrese Haliburton, Steve Prohm's done a tremendous job building out a very fun roster. The Cyclones are Final Four contenders a season after finishing last in the Big 12.

Give me that huge jug of Kool-aid! I'll drink it!!

There are a couple who really don’t like him but most people have really just been critical of some decisions. He’s done a pretty good job this year. A lot of the overreactions to the loss were the fact that KState and Baylor at that point looked awful. Both have shown to be really good since then. Neither loss is super bad at this point but the KState one looked really bad at the time. Even if we lose at TCU or at Texas that won’t be horrendous.

Prohm is not a perfect coach. He still has some glaring weaknesses. That said he has done a good job this year for the most part.

Another one pop should reach out to.

I think its very underrated within our fanbase at how great of a coaching job Prohm has done this year

I think he’s been very good all 4 years. Part of it is that he is humble that he deflects all praise. Even this year if someone tells him he’s doing a good job, he’ll mention hoiberg. Most coaches would not do that.

And you should educate yourself on the game of basketball, and save your agenda for people you’ve fooled into thinking you have a clue.
I really think the podcast could be a good outlet for all your anger. You and CyBobby could have some therapeutic reminiscing of the 80’s and how that time forever made you insecure of Cyclone athletics.

Just consider it. It would be a hit.

Best part about the Hampton game is that I was in boot camp and din't know it happened until a week later when I got a letter from my parents and a newspaper cut out of the updated bracket. I wanted to puke.

Worst part about the Hampton game was that I got stationed in Hampton ******* VA 7 months later and got absolutely roasted every time I wore anything Iowa State.

**** that game!

Lol. The fact that you’ve gotten your **** pushed in because all those losses you were counting on hasn’t happened makes you a bitter little man.

You try to project this basketball knowledge. Then disappear because your agenda is blowing up in your face, again. That is the height of insecurity.

I think what I’m trying to say is just to enjoy this team. It’s a really fun team to watch and cheer for. Getting too worried about how things will end just distracts from the fun.

How are we supposed to enjoy something that's going to end?

Pretty sure there's no crazy stunning unpredictable stuff that happens during March Madness.

Are we supposed to enjoy stuff like life too? Should I go to the Yahoo! front page and see if a celebrity can tweet me in the right direction?

That's entirely fair.

I was pretty baked last night and was more thinking you were trying to exorcise bad demons from the past to help ensure you win money on your bet this year, lol

We all know no woman would have anything to do with you. You should not lie to try to impress people that you’ll never meet.

But you two probably should think about giving it a go. You’re definitely equal in bb and life knowledge

During Football it seemed every game that we won there was talk about Campbell's contract and the need to take care of him - IF this team can finish strong should we have the same conversations about SP?
National perception of ISU basketball is quite different than football. When Johnny went there, ISU became a national program in my view. I could see Prohm making a career in Ames.

I think he got an extension after his second year, but it could be on the board again. There’s no reason mad Fran should be making more than he is. I’m not sure where he’s at nationally but he should be making more than Underwood at Illinois and whoever is at Indiana.
