Go Down Swinging or Best Position to Win?

I know what the coaches will do for the rest of the season, but I want other people's opinion.

I know there is a lot of football to be played, but a chance at a bowl game is pretty much out the window for all intensive purposes. So that brings up my question.

Would you rather have the team go all out and throw everything that they have at teams in the form of agressive schemes and wide open play calling in an attempt to beat them? The stipulation is that you understand that it might not be executed with precision as it is not our bread and butter and not what we practice the most. This would open us up to getting blown out of the rest of our schedule as the risks may not payoff resulting in more TOs and/or punts and giving up bib plays on D.

Or having seen our team thus far, do you take our chances with playing our game and assuming that this puts us into the best chance to win?

Which do you want? Which is more fair to our players, the seniors most of all? Which is the best for recruiting and the future of the program?

If we are going to lose, might as well throw everything including the kitchen sink at our opponents. Playing it safe and losing by 20 plus points is not a fun afternoon in the sun.

Well on one hand it could be successful and get some wins...could be. On the other hand, we are struggling to do the few things we are doing and adding more just might cause more mistakes and run the score up higher. I just want use to do a couple of things well and not a bunch of things poorly.

Go for it. At least the fans might be excited. The 2 yard run and 4 yard pass will not sell too many season tickets. So what if you throw an intercveption 30 yards downfield. Some of the best plays are broken plays. Did we have only one play over 20 yards against Nebraska? They were used to giving up 5 or more of those plays before this week. 38-10 and 35-20 asgsindt lower tier teams should tell the staff CHANGES need to be made. AND YS Obama never spells out his changes.

Just for the record I would like to see JJBass and ARob in the game at the same time, perhaps one as a wide receiver. I would like to see a big backfield at some time. I would like to see more middle screens to the backs. I would like to see more attempts to throw downfield if the wind is not bad. I would like to throw first and run second. I would like to see 350 yards offense. I would like to see the defense gwet some offensive help at key times.

The "throw everything at them" will never happen. GC is a former def coord. and is has not shown any inclination to open the playbook at this point of the season. I have been very disappointed in the lack of imagination in the offensive play calling this year.

Do some different things. Who knows they may work and could be used in the future. Right now this team has nothing to lose. Also if a freshman still has a RS leave it on, there is no use to ruining that now.
