I was wondering.. will Brackins get invited to New York City? Since even ESPN has him as a lottery? I think that would be really cool.

I honestly think these guys need to get more physical. I could get killed for this but if Craig doesn't get a little tougher down low in reference to contact, I could see him slipping into the mid 20s. I won't kill him yet because there is a lot of ball left, but I think it is imperative that he and Gilstrap get more physical and rely less on finesse.

And if we still had Wesley we would have the number 2, 13 and 28 draft picks in the country...pretty impressive recruits for a coach everyone wants to fire

I agree. The next level folks will want to see that ability, and the desire to do what it takes to win.

I think both can do it, so that's good.

Gilstrap could use another yerar. As of now Brackins could also use another year. Got to be honest not getting what I thought we would from a player of his caliber?

gilstrap will not get drafted. he can't dribble, or play defense.

I'd hate to read your analysis of some of our other players...

This team has talent. Two NBA caliber players and veteran guards. Make it happen, Greg.

Does this not make a stronger case for those calling for McD's head? What has he done with all of this supposed talent? He had the projected #2, and blew the relationship. He has the projected #13 and #28 and he can't beat Northwestern, UNI @ home? He can't be competitive against a 4 - 3 basketball team, albeit on the road? Apparently he's not recruiting to his "system".

I'll be generous enough to give him until conference play to turn this team into one who looks and sounds like they care. If they have no pulse by then, all bets are off.

2 ISU players and 1 former ISU player in this mock draft compared to only 1 North Carolina player. Also, 9 Big XII players compared to 3 ACC players. I guess Marty Terrell was right on his Toyota of Des Moines Mouth of the Midwest piece during Saturday's Alabama-Florida game -- Harrison Barnes is too good for Iowa State and too good for the Big XII. Marty Terrell is just plain black-hearted and mean-spirited.

Gilstrap has very solid handles. And I think he's done fine defensively for a guy that's only played JUCO ball since high school.

He's a freak athlete that with a good range of skills, and with a little more polish, will most certainly get drafted.

The fact that they don't call "charging" in the NBA will certainly help him. The dude's nickname should be "The Charger."

You could also say we are loaded with unidimensional players and very unathletic back ups.

I thought this team was a lot better until I watched about 10 different preseason tourny games and saw how much more athletic and complete a lot of other teams were.

So, 2 weeks ago, we were the most athletic team that Greg has had, and 9-10 players deep? And now we have undimensional and unathletic players. Weird. What a difference a few games make! :jimlad:

I love gilstrap and his athleticism but at times he is a little out of control turnover wise, he needs another year before he'd be ready but i deffiantly think hes a great player and could deffiantly be drafted because he has a perfect basketball body for the NBA and jumpshot and aggressivness
