Dear CW, Rob, Kirk, whomever:

Can we please get a CyFan front page article with the "Top Georges Quotes of All Time"?

It's been four years since the guy that, "played with Nerlens Noel" has been on site. Great to have him.

I told my friend the other day there will 100% be a tear in my eye when he is announced/walks off floor on Monday.

Similar to this, still gets me.

I thought I heard John Walters say last night that Georges Niang is the first Iowa State player to go to 4 NCAA tournaments. Let that sink in.

Yep, and they've been pretty brutal to him: Craft's game winner over him, broken foot, and first round upset. He deserves better from the bball gods. Let's hope he gets it this season.

Georges will be missed. Such an amazing athlete and person. I wish I could 1/100th of a person he is.

They shoulda made Saturday's game Senior Day. Better environment, Hilton will be full early, rowdy, etc.
Who cares if it's not the last home game? I want the best environment for those guys. At 5:30 on a weekeday Hilton won't be half full.

Me, too. We all chanted Melvin's name, but I can't be the only one that struggled there.
This is going to be really, really strange and sad. Those guys are the epitome of being a Cyclone.

Agree on both.....wonderful young men that happen to be great bball players. I hope Georges makes some good money playing ball to set himself up for life and continue to do what he wants.

And as others have said...we've had some great players over ISU Bball history...to be the winning-est is something special and we should all reflect on that if we ever feel like "things are not looking good" with the program.

Is coming up. And it makes me sad.

I've been going to games for close to 35 years, and have seen some great players. I don't think I would ever be able to name a favorite player. But, wow, have I enjoyed watching Georges over the past 4 years. Non only a great player, but a great ambassador for ISU while he has been here. I fully expect him to be as active as he can be as an Alum as well.

Good luck in whatever comes next for you Georges! And thank you for all the memories!

All time Cyclone great. Would love for him to have a decent NBA career, then move into the broadcast booth. Maybe even replace Eric Heft someday? :wideeyed:

Make that bulletin board material for the team to pull it together for the leader of this team and make the run of a lifetime.
