And proof that Phil Hughes has a sense of humor after being released recently.

Is this this year's version of "The birds. They're coming"?How bout those Cards? 11/13 first place in the wildcard. Look out Cubbies. They stuck with Matheny a few years too long. I love seeing all the young kids finally get their chance.
Does anyone care?
Let's see. In the "General 2018 mlb thread? I'm going to go out on a limb and say yes.

They are only 2.5 back, but that is a bit deceiving; they are 4 games behind in the Loss column. In this case, as we sit today, the answer appears to be "yes." They may not catch the Cubs, but they went from looking forward to 2019 to being in the thick of the playoff race.
In the last 30 games:
STL: 21-9
CHC: 15-15
MIL: 15-15
LAD: 13-17
COL: 18-12

Same. Some schedule stuff came out for next year. Rockies play 2 games out in Boston. Always wanted to see green monster in person plus family is out there. Might be tempting.
Matt Holliday is back with the Rockies and just hit a pinch hit solo bomb to give Rockies the lead over his old club Cardinals.
Bader with the speed to tie it up! Terrible situational hitting after that.
i'd be down for a Yankees-Cardinals or Yankees-Rockies world series.
