Where's everyone watching the game at? I know the DSM Cyclone Club game watch is at Trophy's, but the set up there kind of blows. Just seeing where my Cyclone brethren are watching the game, I'm thinking of hitting up Johnny's HOF...always a good spot.

I do usually enjoy Johnny's, but I've never seen ISU win a game there - football, men's or women's bball. I think I'll be going to 3-Bag in WDM.

I've heard that 3bag is charging a $25 cover all day, including for the game... No thanks to that!

What? How could a CF sponsor bend us over like that? Does Chris know about this?

I might have to rethink it. Where did you hear about the cover?

I saw in the Datebook that Peoples was going to have it on their 180" screen. Anyone know if they will be serving food?

If I was going to be in DSM tonight, this is likely what I would do. Who cares if they have food, it's People's and Iowa State Football. Something about that is just so right

Peoples on Court Ave DM? Where is the screen at, in the main bar or the concert area/bar? Sounds like the way to go, Johnnys is always so packed and the bartendress has a huge hawkeye tattoo on her arm.

Front Row of course.

But seriously, I've been talking to the bartender there and he's expecting a good contingent of Hawk fans there to watch the game who don't want to be around Cy fans. He said the owner was even contemplating giving out halftime food like he normally does for Iowa games but he wasn't 100% on that.

$25 cover for 3bag? What a f-in rip off! That's where we are/where headed; has anyone called there to confirm this?

If this is true, they are going to have squat for business. There are plenty of bars in town charging $0 cover that are gonna have the game on. Maybe this includes Uncle Buck's for the whole night too? IDK. Either way, that's ridiculous.

Uncle Buck's was selling VIP packages starting at $25, which for those people that bought them, you are a tool. Haven't heard what they are charging for cover. Either way, charging $25 (or any) cover at 5pm is moronic. Do we really expect anything less from the home of the polk county i-club?

I wouldn't be so sure about this. I know there are a lot of bars, especially popular ones, that are jacking up covers for NYE. They usually include stuff like a certain amount of drinks. They'll be packed still. Another way to get around this, get there for the early games and stay for the ISU game. I highly doubt they'll start charging the cover until at least mid to late afternoon.

***3-BAG UPDATE***

My sister called them twice this week and both times they said cover does not start until 7:00 and even then it is $20.

Good job starting a freak-out though, cybsball.
