This has probably been discussed already, but I just ordered the Sports Pak through DirecTV to get the game. Didn't see Fox College Sports in the Sports Pak line up but heard I will get this come game day. Is this true and what channel.....617??????

As has been discussed ad nauseam elsewhere, the FCS channels are not explicitly dedicated channels that show up in the DirecTV guide, because they are considered cable channels only. Cyclones.com indicates that the game should be on channel 617 for DirecTV, and other FCS feeds have shown up on that channel. Our game against SDSU, and Kansas' against Sam Houston State, both showed up on this channel.

I have not checked the onscreen guide yet this week, but prior to the SDSU game, 617 became active about a day or two in advance.

It still isn't scheduled for it, and I wouldn't be shocked if it doesn't end up on DirecTV. If it's going to be on DirecTV, that's where it will be though.

Is the game on DirectTV?
:wideeyed::no:

Cyclones.com says it will be. That being said, it still hasn't shown up in the DirecTV guide just yet, and it usually does by now if it's going to be on.

It also isn't listed here which is usually pretty accurate.

Do you have to have the sports package for either DirecTV or Dish? I know with my Dish a lot of the regional games on FCS just show up on game day on my guide and told the same sometimes happens with Direct. Where I can see it might dictate how/where I watch the game as the parent's have Direct and I have Dish and will be at the parents place most of Saturday.

I hope you're kidding.

Whys that???

I am also curious to how you guys think this will affect attendance at the Nebraska and Texas A&M game, if it is not on Direct TV, with particular attention paid to the student section attendance? Also, do you think people will tailgate longer than normal or go in to the game sooner if it is not on Direct TV?

It all depends on the start time of the game. Evening is better than 11:00. Best being 2:30, because it's national and means both teams have good records.

Of course, it doesn't matter. TV is exposure and we.. I mean they, need the revenue.

My biggest concern is what effect this has on the BB practice facility.

It will inevitably delay the project, no question. I also think if the game is not on Direct TV, Harrison Barns will be signing with Duke.

My sources have just confirmed that if there is storm cloud coverage in your area, and the game does happen to be on Direct TV, you may still not be able to recieve a signal; thus not allowing you to watch the game.

I will update you all when more information comes in.

There has never ever ever been an FCS game on Dish network. Never.

Ever.
Ever ever ever.

Dish Network does carry FSN games. FSN will not be showing the ISU game this week. They have TTU-Nebraska, Oregon State-Washington State and UCLA-Oregon.

DirecTV might carry the ISU game on 617 - but that is not yet confirmed by anything other than Cyclones.com. It is not yet in the guide, and it is not mentioned anywhere other than cyclones.com that it will be on 617.

So far the only confirmed way to see the game is with a local cable provider with the sports pak, as they are the ONLY ones that carry FCS.

Is the game on DishNetwork?

EDIT: Okay... I'll stop... but I find this hilarious.
