Thanks so much to @NWICY for this idea!

What do you intend to do with your body when you die. Typical funeral and grave, cremation, Viking style funeral pyre boat, funeral pyre, launched and set off in fireworks display?

Hefty bag and a dumpster is just fine for me but for some reason that would be frowned upon so I guess cremation. Even though a funeral pyre would be pretty cool.

I always wanted to donate my body to science, but the wifey isn't down with that. She makes good points though, do I really want some college kids playing around with my dead body?

I'm a big scuba diver fan, and they do a lot of underwater art cemeteries for people to dive in the Caribbean. Basically get cremated, mix you up with some concrete or whatever they make their art out of, and drop you in the sea. Seems cool to me.

Cremation for sure. And I'm adamant about spreading the ashes. I get that some people like the urn, but I always think about the fact that, eventually, you end up in a box in some great-grandkids attic.

Probably just normal burial. But I want with me the ashes of pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I think that's my main request at this time.

At that point, I don't think you're really going to care much.

And you'd be providing a much needed asset to students. (Source: daughter in Med school)

This reminded me of the Faith No More song RV.

I'm a swingin' guy
Throw a belt over the shower curtain rod
And swing---
Toss me inside a hefty
And put me in the ground

I don’t see a need for an expensive funeral either so most likely cremation for me.

You could always go this route.

Well I haven't decided yet, but at my memorial service I want the ISU fight song to be the last song played and a hand out for anyone there that doesn't know the words so they can sing along.

I do think getting cremated and loaded into fireworks and set off for a nice display (or maybe just in a big Chrysanthemum shell) would be kind of cool.

Planning on cremation. I see no point in the expense of a casket and actual burial. The idea of a simple headstone at the rural family cemetery is probably something that will happen (to be near my dad's eventual headstone). My ashes I want released at Sea Ranch, California. If I can't (ever afford to) live there while I'm alive, I'll make sure I spend eternity there instead.

I want my remains to be bricked up Cask of Amontillado-style in our basement. Then throw some random stuff in there with me like a ping pong paddle, a copy of Field and Stream and a Rubik's Cube. It would make for a weird investigation one day when I'm discovered.
