Why did they go away from the duck-billed goalie-mask logo, anyway? I think it's clever. Current logo is uninspiring.

I remember hearing one time, it was due to the new owners taking over from Disney. Originally were the "Mighty Ducks" based on the movie franchise. When Disney sold it, that logo was still actually Disney property. Not 100% sure about it, but it would make sense, since I can see Disney not wanting their movie associated with a team they don't own anymore.

New logos in FL. I like, even tho they seem a bit collegiate or MLS'ish with the crest.

The New Florida Panthers Logo is a big improvement, wouldn't put it top 5 though.

No. No it is not. The alternate logo is a step up, but the new primary logo looks like a cheap ripoff of FC Dallas. Which - why would a logo that would fit better on a soccer pitch be a significant upgrade over what was already one of the better logos in the NHL?

They use it as an alternate logo now.

Blackhawks, Sharks, Penguins, Jets, and Maple Leafs. Canadians honorable mention as they and Toronto are classic.

It was not a good logo before.

Maybe it's just because I don't pay any attention to MLS, but when I saw the new logo, my first thought was that it reminded me a bit of the 101st Airborne's screaming eagle emblem. Then I read somewhere that that was the emblem they based it of of.

Like I said, incredibly alike. And for the record, I've never seen an FC Dallas game to my recollection.

And it looks a ton more like FC Dallas than it does the 101st.
