But... maybe embrace that we are small town Iowa and lots of our fans are. Maybe embrace who we are, not try to be something we arent.

I get the idea of the song. But it will turn off a lot of the fans, instead of getting them all together and pumped.

And no I dont suggest Saliva either.

And it will be distorted to **** coming out of the system we have.
Not a Saliva fan really, but gotta admit that Ladies and Gentleman would get the crowd going and over time could have made it our thing. Do a cool highlight video when every time they say "boom" show a big hit or something. VT probably has the best one with Enter Sandman, that would get you going for sure.

It's funny we're talking about this if you listened to the FART podcast with Woody and Newell. They both said they're usually so amped up that they don't really care what is playing. They're usually still buzzing from the locker room music and then it's a little chaotic that they don't pay too close attention.
I look at the walkout songs/traditions as something to get the crowd pumped and ready for the game rather than the players. Having a rowdy crowd from the get-go provides the players with energy.

The video played before the team came out was set to 'Ladies and Gentlemen' (IIRC) in like 2010/2011. Outside of a few rock songs (like VT's), I think they're too drawn out and don't fit for this purpose.

Tha Carter 3 is gold. Not to mention Lil Wayne has a crap load of good mixtapes. He get's a lot of 1 offs too, he's talked about never turning down features. Dude has helped a lot of folks careers.
Great. I don't have anything against him personally and I know he's very successful, I just don't like his music. That said, I don't really care if they play it for an intro.

I did like Power and am kind of curious why they are changing it. Players vote? Kanye just become too much of a whacko to represent our school?

When I was a competing athlete the national anthem got me pumped more than anything like a pavlov's dog thing if I'm being honest.

Are we sure it's not Knockout? Then they come out in black uniforms and stay in black for every home game except the Trice throw backs game.

Honestly, I personally think it should be an EDM/Dub song.

There has to be something out there from Skrillex, Tiesto, Deadmau5, David Guetta, Aoki, Afrojack, etc etc that would absolutely kick ass.

Yeah I don't get it either, these EDM tracks are basically perfect highlight video backgrounds and there is no words you need to dub out most of the time.

Or you could just do something pretty vanilla but good overall like Start a Riot from the Spider Verse soundtrack. It's not going to blow anybody's hair back but it's just a very quality rap song that won't be too much for the ears of the cotton tops.

It takes a pretty good sound system to play rap loud and not distort, especially on the bass.

That bass is going to sound like a continuous fart. Our system distorts so bad as soon as they turn it up.
I would MUCH rather listen to a continuous fart than Lil Wayne.
