How have we completely glossed over “Cyclone” by Babybash?

That's a mainstay on the warmup playlist in JTS, but not sure if it really sets the right vibe for team to charge the field hearing about her body moving like a cyclone, always being tight and never sloppy, and keepin' it steady so she'll make a monsoon.

If a 20 year old song with Lil Wayne whining for a few minutes gets the team jazzed up I'm okay with it. Seems like it wouldn't, but who knows.

Lil Wayne's voice... is not for me. But you will hardly hear it because you will only hear the first 45 seconds give or take of the song and then everyone will be screaming. His voice is a non-factor. It's not about the song as a whole. It's about that beginning element. And I think it has the makings of something really cool when paired with a team walk out.
I agree with this. The beginning of this LW song starts off just perfect for a walk out with the sirens and beat. I think it will get people cranked up. We will barely hear his voice.

And as A LOT of people have said....I NEED MORE SIREN!!! Seriously....we have been saying that for years. Make it obnoxious!

That is much better.
I don't care how raunchy it is, my junior year of high school TJ in Council Bluffs played this uncensored before a basketball game and it became my go to for basketball, baseball and soccer games to get hyped.

I like rap and hip-hop, but Lil Wayne is like nails on a chalk board to me. I just never have liked his vocal style.
Tha Carter 3 is gold. Not to mention Lil Wayne has a crap load of good mixtapes. He get's a lot of 1 offs too, he's talked about never turning down features. Dude has helped a lot of folks careers.

Sandstorm is better than my Can't be Touched selection. That would hype the student section.

That is awful. Nothing about that gets me pumped up.

Agreed. Almost anything would be better.

Is it because it has a siren? Just lean into the siren in other ways instead of wedging in with a bad song with a siren.

Even if you narrowed it down to 15-25 year old year old hip hop songs I'm sure I could find some that get me more pumped up. I can't imagine how that pumps up kids who were babies when it was released if it does nothing for me when I was going out to clubs in Chicago when it was a new song.

From where we sit the speakers are booming, the crowd is into it, everyone is hyped up. Then BOOM - speakers turn off and the band plays the fight song. It's the most engery-deflating thing in Cyclone sports.
Haha I think this happens at most schools. The tradition of playing the fight song when they run on to the field is a tough one to get rid of. It is always awkward

It's funny we're talking about this if you listened to the FART podcast with Woody and Newell. They both said they're usually so amped up that they don't really care what is playing. They're usually still buzzing from the locker room music and then it's a little chaotic that they don't pay too close attention.
