I saw his name on the board. On Twitter.. So idk if that was the financial thing or the actual letter of intent.

He is still a student at his old school. The financial agreement means that ISU can talk about him and all that stuff but it isn't binding for Catalina except for conference.

So Catalina can flip to any non B12 school at any time from now until he actually enrolls at ISU. There's nothing holding him back.

We won't know for sure about Catalina until August but I wouldn't hold my breath for him. At the least he has picked up Auburn, Georgia, and Florida offers and that could increase all the way through the summer if any of the big boys think they have an OL spot they need filling. For a guy transferring to play one year of big time football and hopefully showcase himself to NFL scouts we are at a disadvantage to begin with.

As mentioned a few posts ago, transfers only sign finacial aid agreements which are not binding. Catalina can switch his commitment and ISU would have no power to stop him.

When he signs a fin aid package with another school, then worry. Until then, relax.

I'm sorry but with those type of schools going after him and having the ability to go after him for 3 or 4 months, I'm going to assume he's gone and be pleasantly surprised if he comes.

ISU Athletics just tweeted this. I know it's not set in stone but they must be confident he will be a Cyclone to tweet this.

This situation is so weird. ISU tweets that Catalina will join Iowa State, his brother said "not accurate and still weighing his options". Then this?

Is his brother the agent...? Weird that he does all the communication and releasing info.

Can you be called a "jersey chaser" if it is your own brother that you seem to be obsessed with?

Tommy Birch of the DMR apparently just talked to Catalina, this is from Twitter

Just spoke to Tyler Catalina. Said he's still weighing his options right now. Still considering some other schools. Catalina: "There's a lot of things to think about right now."

I sadly think he is gone. I think it depends on the end of NSD. If one of those SEC schools still need an OL player and he can start he is gone. I still want him here badly.

Texas am offered. Keep coming in. If we keep him this might be the biggest recruiting surprise in the history of Iowa State athletics

I realize him signing a financial aid agreement doesn't bind him to the Cyclones. But, will there be a way to see if teams like Florida, Georgia, etc even have a scholarship open after signing day? Could that potentially clear up some of his options?
