As much as I'm on board with using something other than IE. Firefox is frequently a pain in my ***... Here is one that someone on here can probably help me remedy. Somehow firefox has lost the ability to do flash programs so every website that uses flash causes a message to appear at the top of my screen. I click to download the missing program and it tells me that it cant locate it so I then click the manual download button. I then click the download button on the flash player that works fine in IE but only brings up the obnoxious download manager from firefox. The problem is that there is nothing in it. So - I make sure my machine has flash by downloading it successfully FROM IE, restart firefox and STILL the same dang problem. Why is firefox unwilling to work with the existing flash player?

That was my problem too, until I installed it seperately, then restarted firefox several times.

You need to make sure you're downloading the "firefox" version.

Go here: Adobe - Adobe Flash Player and make sure you select the right version of windows and firefox. Download it, close firefox (and make sure it's not still "running" in task manager), run the executable, and restart firefox.

Yup.

And, it may even be as simple as uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it.

Make sure that anytime you do an uninstall of FF, the Adobe Flash Player or any program for that matter - you do a reboot after the uninstall and before the reinstall.

Sometimes not needed but other times can save you a headache.

That's probably it. Go back to 2.0.0.18:smile:
