Please, can we get a buddy system? Unless they need to drink alone, can somebody help say, "This isn't where you live!", I'll drop you off. I know, personal responsibility is in effect, but go out with a roommate.

Man.

Not exactly sure.
Who calls the cops when a drunk coed knocks on your door? The vomit must have done it, probably a deal breaker.

Am I the only person that thinks the standard for public intox is too low. It is not like she put herself or someone else's safety at risk. I am normally considered a tight a** but it seems that it is such an easy thing to do, eg over consume; heck, someone who has never drank alcohol before could go out, have 3 or 4 drinks and get charged. Lacks logic to me. If you disrespect the policeman, seriously disrupting things, etc, maybe charges are called for. Maybe I am thinking of the "people who live in glass houses...." story. To me, identify her, make her pay restitution to the property owner and move on. To me, DUI is far more serious - and not to be tolerated. I stand to be criticized though. As I said, I am normally the "law and order" guy in a conversation.

Vague recollection that Katie Robinette had some similar infraction - may have bee at NU. I think U has progressive process - not bad for first offense.
