Jackyll in 2006. It wasn't like they're great or anything, but it was a freaking hoot. My buddy got tossed for being so drunk that he took a leak on the floor in the middle of the show. Seen lots of shows there over the years. Vic Ferrari, A Zeppelin tribute, Hairball, etc.

The one I badly regret missing was Dwight Yoakam in 2013. The guy opening for him was some nobody who's album I'd just discovered on a message board and really liked because it sounded like the second coming of Waylon Jennings. That guy was Sturgill Simpson.

Went to see Weird Al at the Surf in 2018. 1st time there and it was a great show.

Had tickets to see Morrissey there about 15 or so years ago. That show was cancelled and rescheduled a few times. I never did go (got a refund after the 2nd cancel) and I'm not sure the band ever followed through with the show.

Last night a group of our friends went to the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band concert at the Surf. They put on a really good show and there was a great crowd.

What was your favorite concert you ever attended at the Surf?

Litterer Band?

That's funny. I was going to say the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, also, but I saw them there close to 30 years ago.

I was there in 13.

It was an awakening.
