Sorry, I lost the poll for a while...

I added a couple, Polar Express because it seems an up-and-comer, Home Alone by demand...though, like Die Hard, I consider it more a move set at Christmas than a "Christmas movie".

what are you talking about! There is a lot of holiday cheer on Die Hard.

'now I have a gun'

'Ho, Ho, Ho'

This is an old one 'All Mine to Give". A big family in much earlier times that lost both parents around Christmas, and the older brother had to find separate homes for each of his siblings.

Watching him walk away into a snowy night with the sled behind him as the movie closed was an absolute tear-jerker - even for an obnoxious little kid like I was at the time.

Even my dad said "Jesus Christ" as the movie ended - and he was one tough dude.

I would have never said it before I had kids...

...but Polar Express on the IMAX is pretty cool thing to see. Seen it several times now.

LOL, oh no, somebody had to go there. Wasn't there a pretty lengthy thread on here a long time back about whether or not Die Hard could be considered a Christmas movie?

What, no "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians"?

"A Christmas Story" and "It's a Wonderful Life" are must sees every year. I've always enjoyed "Jingle All the Way" as well. My daughter loves the Grinch.

I was just about to ask why no mention of JATW. One of Schwarzenegger's finest works (I'm being half-serious). Plus it had Phil Hartman... and Sinbad.

Sorry, I couldn't include all of them. And some of those you folks mention aren't even on top 25 lists, which just shows that everyone has different perspectives.

Now I have to go shovel snow.
