I always thought it would be cool to connect the student lot with the vet med lot with a grass path and bridge over the creek.

The Ames Tribune artile linked above says the fountain, elevated walk way, and many landscape items have been axed due to cost and ongoing maintenance requirements.

"Value engineering" out all the attractive items.

Last week at fan fest I thought the sandstone colored wall was plywood at first glance.
