I just won....

Driver
2 dozen golf balls
golf shirt
crapload of 5 hour energy
bunch of razor blades

I usually do this once a winter. I fear that the blades will be fake based on research after I bid.

Now I have to sell some stuff to pay for it all. Good deals though.

I think in the last couple months I have bought some new sunglasses and dress shoes.

That is about the extent of any ebay shopping spree I have been on.

What kind of driver and golf balls did you win?

Nike Sumo driver and Top Flight Gamer golf balls. Heard great things about the Gamers for their price. I got them for $16/dozen. Have played the D2 before and these are supposed to be a better ball.

I now have 3 drivers so will be selling 2. Never hit a Nike before.

I am going to be in the market for a new camera later this year and was wondering about ebay. I know some people have sold used cameras that way and am wondering how/if you can get some type of warranty if you buy something used. I've never used ebay at all so I don't know how safe it is for a high end item.

I doubt you'll get any type of warranty on a used camera. You can probably get a good price on a new one but check the feedback for the seller and check the warranty. I'm not sure I'd get a used one.

I've bought on e-bay before. It's sort of "buyer beware" though. You CAN get warranties through third party people, though. It's akin to buying the "extended warranty" you get offered at the chain stores. eBay: Warranty Services: Buyer Overview for details.

Honestly, though, I'd be a bit nervous spending more than a grand or so on something used from e-bay. I trust the buy/sell forums on the major boards a bit more, especially if it's folks that have a long posting history.

Bought new irons (Titleist AP2) this winter (1/2 the price the reatail shops around here were selling them for). I love stolen stuff sold for cheap on Ebay.

I would bet good money they are counterfeit.

I'd say roughly 80% of the new clubs sold on e-bay are counterfeit.

I'll buy the odd used club on there after checking the serial number, but if the deal is too good to be true, it probably is.

My thought as well. If they are new and authentic, AP2s are in high demand and 1/2 price seems to good to be true. Those are sweet *** sticks..

well i played golf in college, and i could get any titleist, ping, cleveland, or callaway club for about 1/4 of the original cost. i bought a few sets and some woods and sold them on ebay for pretty ridiculously cheap. but i still made a boat load as well...

It's REALLY tough to make a counterfeit golf club... Like im4ist8, there are alot of people that have an ability to get clubs really cheap and flip them for a profit...

and actually, if u work at a golf store, if u sell enough sets, the company will give you free sets. i have a friend that did that and sold them all the time on ebay.
