Other than the drive across Arkansas, I'm all for it, as the only thing closer for me would be something in Texas.

I'm on the East Coast for New Year's, so I'd be all about the Pinstripe Bowl.

Birmingham Bowl?! They got rid of my papajohns.com Bowl? That was my favorite name for a bowl! Nothing beats playing in a bowl game that isn't advertising a pizza company, but a pizza company's website.

R.I.P. Papajohns.com Bowl.

You guys are missing the obvious...

I think this means we go to the SEC after the big XII finishes collapsing (Texas losing 2 games already is starting to look like karmic justice).

I highly doubt the Big East will fill their bowl quota this year. Only four teams have 3 wins, so unless almost the whole conference goes .500 through conference play, they may only end up with 4.

Only problem - they have us filling in for the SEC, not the Big East. Our projected opponent would be Syracuse.

ANY bowl is a great bowl this year.

Exactly.

Just like last year; a bowl, any bowl = more practice time and more game experience. I think we can all agree that the offense needs as much practice time as it can get and the defense needs as much seasoning as it can get.

I'm going to wait until year five before I get fussy about which bowl we go to.

Totally agree. While I'd love to be picky about what bowl I would prefer, in reality I'll be happy with any bowl. That extra month of practice time plus any small amount of recruit exposure is worth it, even if it is a lower tier bowl.

We still need three more wins though, so lets not get ahead of ourselves before Saturday. That K-State loss might end up really, really hurting.

The guy also has Colorado in a bowl, Kansas State in the Holiday bowl, and Illinois in a bowl. It doesn't look like he spend more than 5 minutes filling this out.

Side note: There is a Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl?

I passed thru Birmingham last year the week of the bowl game and have a key card from the hotel that was PapaJohn's bowl personalized. That would be a fun, although slightly chilly bowl game...

To be fair Colorado is sitting at 3-1 and in the exact "win three more games" situation we are. That's without facing three top 10 teams the rest of the year.

This. NYC is with in driving distance (or more likely... take Amtrak or cheap Chinatown bus). I've got a friend in Manhatten I could maybe crash with...

Of all the bowls, that'd be the most likely one I could hit
