East side

We really enjoyed the renovation on the east side. It looks so much better without the little shack-type shops.

The Cy's Locker Room was much more open. Easier to see the merchandise.

I really liked the little plaza with the music. That's a nice little touch for pregame or halftime.

The whole stadium looks nice and the waiting in lines for 20 minutes no longer a problem.

I haven't seen anyone talk about the logo on the Jacobson building? Thoughts? I thought is looked pretty cool...

Yes it is starting to come together...As long as we are able to keep adding additions each year I should come togther nicely in a couple (maybe 10) years.

One question though: How in the world does there end up being a 10 minute line for the Mens room and NO lines for the Womens rooms?

I can partially answer this. There twice as many womens rooms as mens rooms.......at a football stadium.

Does this seem odd to anyone else?

They seem to do this at all new stadiums. There's such a concern about being "fair" nobody applies common sense and realizes that a vast majority of the people in the stadium are men.

Hey, I always wondered that too. I mean go to any bar in Ames and you'll see 274 guys there, and 8 girls.

My friend told me that they really cut back on the number of the women's stalls on the East Side, and I noticed that they had a lot more urinals for the men's room than they did before.

This. Guys will come back regardless of amenities/conditions, a large percentage of women would not.

Makes business sense but I do agree it is pretty annoying.

I went down during half time to use the bathroom and concessions on the east side. I was out of my seat 7 mins between the short line for the bathroom and the food.

All the club section work was done last year, no changes this year.

The men's room was almost hard to find . . . I figured one at the end of each section of concession stands would be the mens (like it was before the renovation). I went to the middle section (by where the live music was) to find they were both women's exits. Before stumbling my way into find the entrance to the men's. But it was a very short wait when I did find it.
