I expect a significant number of each showing up at Hilton and WFA. What say you? Hope Cyclone fans pack each arena.

Drake doesn't have a significant number of fans. And 90 percent of Creighton fans are Nebraska football fans who have yet to notice Creighton's season has started. There will be no more than a smattering of fans for those schools at the upcoming games.

I have never met a Drake BBall fan. Simply never have. I assume they have maybe hundred or so. I don't expect very many Creighton fans either but I know they have them.

In that case, I'd really like to know who bought all the lower level tickets in WFA. My parents' tickets are in the 200 level. In the past few years when we played MBB at WFA, their tickets were in the 100 level. They're at the Captains level and MBB season ticket holders for many years, 18-20 at least. What gives?

I was shocked to discover Drake actually does have a message board. So maybe they'll be able to muster up 20 or so to bring to Hilton.

Talking about fan support, did anyone see that UNI had under 4k for their home MBB opener and unveiling their Sweet 16 and conference championship banners? Ouch.

For some reason I remember meeting lots of them in 2008 but haven't met one since. Its weird.

Creighton Box Score lists 15147 at their Northern Arizona game. Altman built a good fan base in Omaha and their attendance is among the best in the country. CU's success on the court and at the turnstile has long been a thorn in the side of NU. They travel well to their conference tournament, but, I agree, it might be early in the year and early in their relationship with their new coach to get many of them to Des Moines, but, I wouldn't be surprised at a thousand or more.

You are right about the 90% thing, but I live in Omaha, and believe me, they know that Creighton's season has started. The World Herald keeps them as juiced up as it can, although it does take a little bit of a back seat to nu football. Right before the B-Ball season started, the Herald had a full page color picture of a Big Mac fries, and a drink proclaiming the start of the Big Mac Era, ie: CU basketball.

Yeah, they know.

Don't they get in to games for free? They're probably all too busy going to Iowa basketball games...

As a creighton alum and avid cyclone fan i can speak from experience in stating that going to the Qwest center and creighton games in general is a better experience than hilton. At the Qwest you can buy microbrews and red bull and vodka. Needless to say, the student section is always drunk and fired up.

Creighton will travel...

They bring a ton of fans to the Valley Tourney each year and play in a bigger arena than Hilton and draw very well.

I just heard CFH on the post game and he expects a ton of CU fans to come to DSM...both teams 3-0...no TV, no Streaming...Storylines on both sides...Freddie needs the Well full of ISU fans.

Get there!
