Well being rated #1 leaves A LOT of room to be over rated, and he very well could be. Does that mean he isn't good? No way.

You can be explosive without being athletic. Or something.

Mmm, not really as explosiveness is a trait of athleticism. All you really have to do is watch the video of him playing. His athleticism/skills are self-evident, assuming your eyes don't remain closed when you watch the clip.

You're not the boss of me!

On topic, it will be very interesting to see how this transfer and his process develop. I'd love it if he wants to come here. Fits a very clear need with talent.

I smelled this one for our forum as soon as I heard word Finney-Smith was transferring! I said we should be giving him some attention, and we are. But, it looks like Florida will be the overwhelming favorite to land his services..

It would be great if we could get a visit from him though. He certainly fits the mold of our offense. And would fill a need for us, a great post player. Taking nothing away from Ejim, Gibson, and Niang in the years to come.

Once I posted this thread, there were many that thought it was absurd that his name was even brought up. Now it looks like we are interested. Problem is, heavy hitters Georgetown, Florida, and Marquette are calling too..

Told ya so!

The other thread about him devolved into a poo throwing contest so I'll have to ask my question in this one.

Haven't seen otherwise but I assume Smith is the normal sit out a year transfer and not one who has a way around it?

Correct. This was his freshman season. He'll sit a year when he transfers.

That'd be great for us with the amount of players that will be gone after next year.

Big recruiting class for Fred next year to try to replace a big bunch of important players. He got a good start with this years recruits! (Niang, SDW, Okoro, Long)
