Some guys came into my work the other day and were bragging about Iowas amazing football season and I told them I couldn’t wait for basketball season, because then they would shut up... Well they all told me they weren’t Iowa Fans for basketball.... They were Michigan State, Kansas, and Georgetown fans.

How convienant. I'm an Oregon football fan, a Duke basketball fan, and a (insert good baseball team) baseball fan.
Well, in their defense, it's not like they went to Iowa or anything.
They are *****. Let me tell you. All i heard Saturday is "Ohh well we should be undefeated all we did is killed ourselfs in that game" and they went on and on and on about how they should be undefeated and all this ****. WELL YOU KNOW WHAT!!!!???? YOU'RE NOT ******* UNDEFEATED! MOVE ON HAWK FANS! They always live in the damn past.

Here's a strategy. Why not explain to them that they have absolutely no influence on the success of the Iowa football team and that it's ridiculous for them to be bragging about a football program they don't play for.
Question: why do you care if they brag? Start bragging about the #1 team in the country. Tell them you just became a fan. See if they get how ridiculous random team allegiance is--or any team allegiance for that matter.
Liking a team is one thing. Thinking you are better because the team you like is good, is completely illogical
Im on the track team at NIACC, and some teammates were ******* me off today. They were going on and on about how amazing their linebackers are, and pretty much saying they walk on water. Well, idk for sure but id say our bash brothers have more tackles than all the linebackers on their roster combined.
I'm sure they probably got their undergrad at Iowa then their masters and PhD's at Georgetown, Kansas and Michigan State.
One of my good friends, who is someone that posts on this board is a huge ISU b-ball supporter and has been for years. However he doesn't give a crap about the football program. He follows Alabama football the way most of us follow Cyclone football. He has been that way for the 20+ years i have known him.
That's called being "Roy Marbled". If the fan is talking about how great the teams of the 80's were, tell them to go get "Lohaused". That'll learn 'em.
