CPR has said he wants one QB per class. If we are able to do that he'll always have five scholarship QB's on campus, with one of those QB's redshirting. With that being said six QB's is not a ridiculous number, especially considering of those six I'm counting three who I believe could play other positions in Lanning, Hodge, and Lee-Campbell. I'm not saying any will switch positions, but for whoever of those is not in the top two QB's in a reasonable amount of time it may be in their best interest and the best interest of the coaching staff to try a different position.

Looks like we got a lot of YouTube scouts ITT. They watch a highlight tape on YouTube and they're talking about "quick release, good foot work, nice down field vision". Gtfo.

Sorry your son didn't get the scholarship offer you were hoping for.

I agree. I think people should just watch videos and never comment.

For those morons not familiar with Mangino and his ability to scout and develop QB's, let me refresh your memory. He was both a national assistant coach and head coach of the year winner specializing in offense. He led prolific offenses at Kansas State, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Anyone second-guessing his personnel decisions needs slapped in the face.

Good release, great footwork, good in the pocket, eyes down field. If only he was bigger. He looks to be a good one.

Oh my..... that just gave me a bitter beer face. Someone is butt hurt about something......

Also, he has awesome footwok and pocket pressence, but I can see that my opinion is nothing compared to your annonymous cyclone user name's opinion....

This is probably true, but if he is, that means that our offense was likely very good for two years and other teams wanted him because of it. So that would be a good thing.

If our offense is like it's been the last 5 years or so, then nobody will be wanting Mangino. That will be a bad thing.

It doesn't mean our offense was very good at all. Look at Herman going to Ohio State. Nothing he did at ISU should have warranted that type of move. Mangino will likely move by name alone whether we break out on offense or not.

You could be right. Look at Chizik too. He did nothing but fail here, but got a huge promotion to go to Auburn out of it. Crazy stuff.

If we stink it up for the next two years, but our offense is halfway decent, I wouldn't mind promoting Mangino to head coach, but that likely would never happen.

I don't think it's all that crazy to think lanning might be #2.

It isn't crazy. But Sam has starting experience, and game experience, and has played well at times. Don't forget the fact that he was injured last year. I just feel that Sam would likely get a shot before Lanning if one goes in for Rohach. Unless Lanning truly separates himself from Sam.
