Okay, I was listening to the women's basketball game on the radio today. When I tuned in, they were up by six points, but as I listened, K State went on a run and ended the half with a one point lead. I had to turn the game off for some work, but when I started listening again, the Cyclones were up by four or five again in the second half. Unfortunately, as I listened, K State took the lead again. At that point I decided that I was bad luck for the twister sisters and stopped listening altogether. I checked in on the game via espn.com to find out that they had reached overtime and were behind by three, but promptly closed the window for fear that I would jinx the Cyclones. Then they won the game.

I hate the fact that I missed such an exciting game. But I am also convinced that Iowa State did better when I stopped listening. Am I just crazy? Has anyone else done the same thing?

You are not alone. It has happened many times for me. Today, I left midway through the second half and my wife kept watching. As I left, I said I had to step out so they had a chance to catch up.

During the ISU @ KU (Stinson teardrop) game, I did not get up from my lazy-boy for 2+ hours, because that helped ISU win. You can thank me later.

Sometimes you just have to sacrifice for the common cause, like not driving a gas guzzler even if you own one.

Same thing here, I couldn't go to the 3 football games we won this year, I was at the other 4 we lost. I think I will just buy the tickets from now on and give them away. No, I am kidding, I can't miss the atmosphere that we get with both BBall and Football!

Thank you for letting me know that I am not crazy! The problem I have is that I want to see them beat a&m but I'm afraid that I will jinx them again. What's a Cyclone Fanatic to do?
