Dish Network won't air CFB on FS1 incl. NDSU game

FWIW..I just checked the TV Listings from Dish Networks website and the game is showing up now. Maybe they haven't taken it down from the website but you would think Dish Network would keep the game quiet and not advertise it if they aren't televising it.

Yeah, also not available on my guide. I started a chat with a Dish representative online & just said how disappointed I was. They offered $5 off/month for 3 months. After I asked if that's all they could do, they bumped it up to 6 months so I said OK.

First couple games aren't a big deal since I'll be in Ames, but ongoing this issue could be troublesome....

She asked me to call an account specialist tomorrow and see if there is anything else that can be done.

They game me the new subscriber rate for 12 months and 3 months free movie channels. Just posting so you know what they'll give you if you push enough. That'll save me $420 for a year. I told them I'd gladly pay my full monthly fee if they'd just give me my game! Just FYI for when/if you're negotiating with them.

I have the top 200 package with sports pack that came free thru 12/31 & I have FS2. Just used the handy Dish Anywhere app to check my guide & they do show our game scheduled on channel 397 Sunday, 8/31 @ 1pm. Great news, as I like re-watching the home games in case my inebriation makes live details fuzzy.

Yep, Fox wants more money from Dish to broadcast the game, Dish says no (I for one agree), so it will now be blacked out. Fox needs to make such decisions sooner than five days before game time, when it has been on the schedule for several weeks. Fox appeals to the fans thirst for watching sports so gouge them deep and take all the money we are willing to give them. Hope ISU gets on ESPN as part of a Big 12 network deal. Yes, I am crying in my beer, but do not like the way Fox is ever wanting more money to broadcast. Dish is at least to their credit trying to resist higher customer costs.

This decision wasn't made 5 days ago. Dish left the program on there because they thought they would either get it, or wanted their subscribers to believe they would. Dish is definitely not a White Knight in this fight. Its the battle of the twirly mustaches.

I strongly prefer Dish to DTV, cable, etc....even if this isnt straightened out. Funny how some individuals are saying Dish sucks and for poor people, etc.....lol....sad.

Wow if true what a win win for the people who complained to Dish and got discounts on their bills for the next several months! Hoping it is true that the game will air now. I guess one way you'll know for sure is if the Thursday night game airs interruption free.

Mine does too, she said if you have a hopper it would take a while to update. Not sure if I believe it or not, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt for now.

I'll be on vacation with some old buddies from hs watching at a hooters, I'm more concerned the issues don't effect games later on in the season and have just been posting updates so people here know.
