Where is the gov't to bail out DHL? Oh yeah I forgot DHL is not big enough to fail so it sucks to be DHL. This is exactly why the gov't shouldn't be bailing out businesses because now they are determining who lives and who dies and only the free market should determine the winners and losers.

Circuit City is declaring bankruptcy, they employ 9000 workers. I guess 22K in motor city is more important than the 18K from Circuit City and DHL. Oh, and to bail them out would be cheaper than to bail out GM.

DHL isn't folding. They're just shutting down their US only operations.

I use DHL for international mailings, so I'm glad to read that the company still plans to keep those services. Recently they've been much more efficient than FedEx, primarily to Canada and Ireland.

That's the only thing relevant to me. They are folding in the US, not like I'm going to be using their services overseas...

Actually they're not. Their domestic ONLY service is folding. The article states that there will still be several thousand employees in the US after these cuts happen.

Not that any of that helps the 9500 + the other 4500+ from earlier in the year.

22k directly, but you need to factor in how many jobs that are tied to the auto industry will suffer also!!!

That's all anyone used in Turkey while I was there. Everything was DHL.
