I doubt it's about the money...

That said, I don't think he's going to be happy on the bench in Chicago.

I stood up for this guy early in his career, but I can't deal with it anymore. Glass bones Rose isn't going to do anything and the Bulls will once again be a playoff team that isn't a serious Finals threat. Feel kind of bad for Fred he has to deal with this weirdo.

I feel bad for cyclone nation for having to deal with this weirdo.

Rose hasn't even been the Bulls best player the last year an a half. That would be Jimmy Butler. The East still isn't that great. Fred will be fine.

The grind some of you all have for him is incredible, I mean really, really amazing.

All he did was break his face, it's not like it's another lower body injury. Not sure this really means Fred's career is down the tubes

I heard a clip this am on the radio, they were playing a reporter from Chicago. It was along the lines of "Most players are out 4-6 weeks with this injury, although Rose is planning on missing the season. He wants to ensure that his orbital bone heals properly for his son's graduation in 16 years. He doesn't want the pictures to look bad."

They went on from there and made some more jokes, it was pretty funny.

I'd say Noah is better than Rose too.

I think at this point anyone who actually PLAYS is better than Rose...because potential sitting on the bench is worth ZERO points. : )

You know this guy named LeBron James is still in Cleveland, right? Fred isn't going to the Finals anytime soon because LeBron isn't leaving Cleveland anytime soon.

The Knicks have won more conference finals games this century than the Bulls.

Who is? D Rose is certainly not.

You don't remember that Greg Oden MVP season? It was right after they drafted him #1 when he clearly had the knees of a 90 year old man and had gone on record that he'd rather be a dentist than a basketball player.

I, for one, am just absolutely shocked that Rose has sustained another injury.. Hoiberg might have to take a line from Thibs on this one:

Definitely not saying it's the end of Fred's career, but like ISU football finds ways to lose, Derrick Rose finds ways to be injured. Heard a stat this morning on the WGN News that Derrick has missed more games than he's played in his Pro career. That's pretty telling and I would think the odds say he ends up injured again this season.

And....THIS ladies and gentlemen is unfortunately why Dreamy won't have a long career in Chicago.

He honestly should have waited for the T-wolves gig. The Bulls are really old outside of Rose...and without Rose they don't have much.

Because Flip won't just offer him the T-wolves gig again in 2 years if this doesn't work out? Fred was way better off to get his foot in the door with what will probably still be a playoff team in the east. He's a well liked guy, and now that he's officially an "NBA guy" he'll for sure get a second, if not a third chance with different teams if Chicago doesn't pan out.

This basically is how I feel about the situation. The Bulls would have to totally tank and the Front office would have to prove they are willing to get Fred whatever he needed to win. As long as he does an average job here and doesn't burn any bridges, he'll definitely get at least a second chance. I think the rest of the league knows what the Bulls are all about. I mean look how the Thibs thing went down. Fred is way too likable a guy to not get a second chance. As long as he doesn't burn the organization to the ground, he'll be fine.
