Rubber-match Saturday in KC sounds fun. Houston is damn good - came away impressed wth us tonight more than some of our wins.
If we play like that (we played B/B+ tonight), we won’t lose another regular season game. And then we’ll be a 2 seed. No shame in that loss and we showed tons of fight.

Houston definitely brought their A game, and I think they kept expecting us to die but we just kept coming. A few less turnovers and maybe a stop here or there, and we could have had it. Props to Shead, he carried them the entire second half. Just a really, really good player.

I would also accept a rubber match on the next possible Monday night.
The first time ISU played them, I thought they might be the best team in the country. Tonight solidified that for me and they might be the best Big 12 team in quite a few years. ISU is right there with them right now. Both these teams are final 4 contenders.

Shead is the one guy in this league that you game plan to stop, and just can't. Similar to Buddy Hield and players like that. Definitely the player of the year in the conference.
This game early felt like it was going to BYU 2.0, this team has grown a lot.
My best comp to Shead is Tinsley.
Shead and Cryer are a helluva duo.

Definitely. We have managed to control Cryer, but Shead is just so quick for his size that once he gets you on his hip, you are done. Not many dudes that are both strong enough and quick enough to neutralize him. Maybe Tamin when he's 100%.
That was a grown add man basketball game. Shead is a stud. We hung though. The overrated chant by their fans at the end was strange. We are 1-1 against them this year and they are one game up on us. That made no sense
