Robb is tough and a big 157. I need to see it in March from Robb before I think he’s a true title threat. He’s never been able to hold 157 real effectively for a full year (missed weight a few times in ‘20. If he’s put those issues behind him he’s a tough out.

Robb is the real deal. He’ll be an All American at 157 if he’s figured out maintaining the weight.

Robb beat Austin O'Connor handily last week. O'Connor is the defending 149 national champion. This was a very good win for David today.

Cyclones win a bevy of semi-consolation matches so will be wrestling for 3rd at
133 (Attasauov)
149 (Johnson)
165 (Stotts and Kraisser) and
197 (Bastida) (who smoked his opponent)

Fisher will probably lose to Venz and then will be in 5th pl match.
How had the Cuban looked other than when he got caught?

I didn't get to see the match. From the scoreboard, he had a 5-3 lead in the 3rd before losing the TD and getting pinned at 6:44.

The other three matches today were huge wins: two techs and a major. He actually had a riding time point in one. Not sure how good the competition was, however,

Keck beats Marcus 8-4. No shame in losing to Keckeisen, kids tough. Good tournament from Marcus

Man, any time he gets riding time, I’ll take it.

Just watched the Carr/Robb match (on youtube if anyone missed it) since I didn't get to watch live. Maybe some bias, but that match isn't nearly that close next time around IMO. Both takedown's by Robb were a bit weird. On counters where David almost seemed like he got off balance both times. They definitely weren't off of any of Robb's own offense or something that I'd think you worry about next time around if they meet. David won the scrambles and was in on legs far more. That's a 5-2 -ish win next time around I'd bet
