Kene being a veteran who played pretty well in the preseason yet didn't get any play in the final game. Usually that indicates a player isn't going to get cut, but clearly not. Very strange way to handle an out-going player in the preseason.

There are some organizations that never seem to figure it out and he was in one of them.

The 4PM ET deadline has passed. These are the results as best I can find:
  • Made 53-Man Roster: Hall (NYJ), Hummel (LAR), Hutchinson (HOU), Kolar (BAL), Lazard (NYJ), McDonald (NYJ), Montgomery (DET), Purdy (SF), Tampa (BAL), Uwazurike (DEN)
  • Waived/Released: Butler (CIN), Good-Jones (WSH), Harvey (DAL), Johnson (GB), Pettway (NE), Jacobson (NO), Nikkel (WAS), Nwangwu (MIN), Rose (NO), Stanley (GB)

I would of thought Harvey would have made the roster with Dallas and that Uwazurike would have been waived.

I think they were trying to showcase him to try to get a trade. Who knows if that will work, but that's likely why he played as much as he did. He's a bit redundant on Minnesota's roster, unfortunately. They have another speed guy in Ty Chandler in the backfield. He'd be 3rd string at most. Kene isn't their punt return guy. So his value is at KR. And who knows how much of an impact that position will have with the new rules.
Minnesota is low on draft picks for 2025, so if they can get even a late pick for a guy who probably won't play much, I understand their thinking even if I don't necessarily agree.

I’m going to assume that Johnson at least comes back on the Packers practice squad.

Johnson is a big suprise to me, I could have seen Some of the other happening.
As a packers fan I was really surprised by it. Played starter reps all camp and pre season. Didn’t think he would start but it’s likely they liked someone better on special teams
