I do all those things. Except the garage thing. I don't have one of those. Most valuable thing in my car: a can of antifreeze/coolant.

I know a guy who used to get rid of his used oil that way. He would carefully re-fill the one-quart containers with his used oil, place them back in the box, and leave it in the bed of his pick-up. It was always stolen.

I once locked out my girlfriend at the time.

It wasn't so bad, except she had driven down from Okoboji (where she lived) and I had just gone on a trip to Florida for work.

Needless to say, she spent the night in a suite at the Wildwood Lodge that night thanks to me :)

I rarely even take my keys with me when I leave the house. I exit through the garage door and return through the garage door.

In the event that I fail to bring the garage door opener with me (it stays in my truck) I can always enter the garage by manually inputing the code into a keypad that is affixed to the house.

I thought Iowa was the kind of place where you could leave your garage door open, house unlocked, leave the car running with keys still in it...What happened?
I didn't leave my garage door open but I never locked my house and left my keys in my truck when I lived in Alaska.

Gee... I just found out I'm in the doghouse as well. Move on over, CyclonePride; I hope there's plenty of room in there.

What did you do? Not leave a voice mail?:wideeyed:

Your wife is such a lovely person, I don't think she'll stay mad tooooo long.

(CyclonePride, sorry, I haven't met your wife)

My wife was cleaning up the back yard this morning. I decided to go to the store to pick up some stuff for my garage projects, and after going out to tell her I was leaving, I unconsciously locked the door on the way back in, thus locking my wife out of the house for a little over an hour. She was not pleased:sad:

I'm just impressed your wife does yard work, sounds like a keeper! My soon to be wife wants little to do with yard work.

This is your fault somehow? Did you break it down via a remote connection from the Afghan desert?

You'll note I edited my initial post. "Being angry with me" and "being frustrated with the situation" are two very close emotions that I often/always have a hard time distinguishing one from the other.

The worst thing, is that I cannot call her this morning, as I promised, because the computer I can get to isn't set up correctly.

I see. I hadn't looked back.

My wife was in our doghouse for awhile after she flushed the $150 key for the soccer mom vehicle. She was in Boone and turned to flush the toilet, keys fell out of her pocket and the old plumbing in the building she was in offered no hopes for recovery. I had to drive 40 minutes to give her my key. Silver lining to this was insurance paid for a replacement. Thanks State Farm!!
