Anyone know if any of the bars in Grinnell or Newton carry Cyclone TV. Looking to watch the basketball game on the 31st and I don't have internet where we are staying that day.

Oh man that'll be tough. Not exactly two big sports bar kinda towns. Maybe Gary's Game Time or something in grinnell might....but think they have Dish? Newton? No idea....maybe okoboji grill...but I have no idea.

Of course....there's always links to these games on the computer you can get for free....umm..allegedly :)

Is there usually a pirate stream for cyclones.tv on first row?

I have always had cyclones.tv sub so I've never even looked. Somehow I doubt that cyclones.tv exclusive games are making it on there.

Doesn't matter anyway since he doesn't have internet.

I've watched the past couple games from cyclones.tv on firstrowsports. Not the greatest quality but it does the job.

Yeah and other places....all the cyclones.tv ones I've found. But ya...if no inter webs....won't matter.

Im im racking my brain...just can't think of many sports bars in those two towns. Manhattan lounge in Newton has a big tv showing games, but no idea if they have it. Maybe State street station in grinnell....long shots, but maybe worth a phone call to check

that's crazy to me, I wonder if someone in Iowa is providing it off cable, or if someone who pirates games to firstrow is paying for a cyclones.tv sub to put up our third tier games.

Hilarious however it is. I don't even know how content gets on there, it's not like justin.tv used to be where it was basically a pirate youtube that anyone could try if they wanted to live dangerously.

Normally I don't think these streams are that big of a deal because of dumb crap broadcasters are always pulling but for cyclones.tv we should all just pay the $30 bucks to have it from nov-Jan for the exclusive basketball games.

Ha ha it is terrible, but its something. If you haven't seen it....think how crappy mediacom broadcasts are, now make it choppy.....it's essentially like watching Tecmo Basketball...but it's Iowa state.

I grew up in Grinnell. Odd that so many other posters are also at least from the same area.. Is the game also broadcast on Mediacom? Might be worth a call to Game Time or heck, even the Eagles Bar or State Street may have it. If you can get past all the Hawk trash spewing all over that city

Uh, doubt any bar has mediacom. You could always call around and ask.

Montana Mikes or Okaboji in Newton. Lonskis or Rabbits in Grinnell. there is also Oakland Acres in between the two towns. Maybe they have Mediacom.

If Rabbits in grinnell has the game, and the element that goes in there lets you put it on.....I will renew my deal to chew off my left foot with my teeth.

Izaak Walton League in Newton. Not really a public bar and may not be open, but definitely have mediacom.
