at that time...our seats were located next to the visiting section....it was nice watching the black/yellow mass exodus.
I loved watching the jumbotron show tons of black and gold walking out of the stadium. :biglaugh:
We had a couple of friends who were hawkeye fans stay at our place that weekend and when the game was over, they went straight back to home without even telling us. Soooo sad and angry. :biglaugh:

i have a ton. being a student asst in the sports info/media relations dept frm 89-94, I saw a lot. Football, had to be the Marv Seiler game vs Neb in 1992. being a freshman in '89, I didn't think 6-5 would be our best record, guess i was wrong there. there are sooo many great basketball games. 1991-92 games vs OU, OSU, and Iowa. Hoiberg dunk over Earl, OSU missed fts and Thigpen 2nd half scoring barage, Julo late 3-pt play vs OU. The Big8 tourney win in '92 vs Mizzou that put us in the NCAA tourney. Big Monday win vs KU in '93, the day we buried my grandfather may just be the best. just off the top of my head.

Besides the 1999-2000 BBALL Season, I was in attendance for:
2009 Nebraska Football game...
2002 ISU-Iowa Football: Seneca's great comeback
2005 ISU-Iowa Football: Iowa was really ranked number 8?
2007 ISU-Iowa Football: Shaggy comes thru...5 times!
and 2005 Bball game against Texas Tech where the 85-86 bball team was honored and i had the privilege to meet my favorite bball player of all time, Jeff Hornacek, in which he autographed his replica jersey that i had owned since second grade, which ranks up there with my prized possessions....

Horny and Elmer make sure it wasn't just the "JV versus the varsity" and sent Orr and company to the sweet 16.

Blew my lip out before halftime in the pep band and had blood running out of the spit valve. Couldn't talk normal for a week.

No regrets, it's a scar I wear proudly.

Where I was actually in attendance:

1) The Comeback. 2002. Storming the field at Kinnick was an awesome experience.

2) 23-3. Not because it was Iowa, but because it was a Top 10 team that no one gave us a chance in hell of beating and we CLOBBERED them. I remember yelling at every *** hole in a black and gold "ISWHO?" t shirt on the way back from the game. And asking Hawk fans how they were going to win the National championship.

3) 15-13. I hate that these are all against Iowa, but I'm only picking games I was actually at. Such a dramatic victory, and I really thought we were going to lose every single game after the UNI loss.

4) Nebraska game 2004. This game doesn't get enough love on CF. One of my favorite afternoons in JTS EVER. Like last year, the win over Nebraska was when you realized this team which had just finished 2-10 was actually capable of playing and ultimately winning a bowl game. That, and beating Nebraska is so awesome. Much better than beating Iowa because it gives us some in-conference respect.

That game was the definition of "Hilton Magic". My cousin drove down from freaking Winnipeg to go to that game. Coming back from 20 points down to tie it up just before half had the crowd in a frenzy, but the loudest Hilton got that day is when Johnny came out at halftime. Absolutely incredible. Hard to believe that was only 5 years ago, because that basketball program was night and day different from the one we have now. It turned my cousin into a Cyclone on the spot. Ever since, not a season has gone by where he didn't make it to a bball or football game despite living in either or Winnipeg or Tulsa.

My best cyclone memories happened in Kinnick Stadium, weird I know but o well. The first was being in attendance were Seneca Wallace lead ISU back after a 17 point deficit against Iowa to win the game. The other was sitting in the first row of Kinnick and sitting right next to Bret Meyer in 2008 in visitor section.

One of my favorite times was to see "The Run". A good friend of mine was in the rest room. She came back just as the play was over. As she says "what did I just miss?!" all I could say was watch Sport Center because that is too awesome to explain!
