I’m figuring by midseason, people will be commenting that Rocco has a better overall receiving corps than ‘24.

Try reading it again.Better than 2 guys drafted in the first 3 rounds? Not likely. Sounds like those expecting Dekkers to be better than Purdy.
Given his inevitable contract, suspect Brock will be offering upI wonder where the 'Purdy Crate' sticker came from? My best guess is that ISU had a need and Brock bought the crates for his former team. Anybody know?
Crates like these, in bulk, do not come cheap.

Rocco is no longer a longshot this year. He has paid his dues and could be one of the top QB's in conference this year. Hope so. That would be great.Better than 2 guys drafted in the first 3 rounds? Not likely. Sounds like those expecting Dekkers to be better than Purdy.
I could be waaaay off base, but if Rocco doesn't go pro, I could see him sticking with us, even if he gets bigger bank offers from other deep-pocketed schools. Rocco strikes me as a Cyclone Thru n Thru+.Wow! And Sowell to have a breakout 70 catch, 1200 yard season. If I'm not mistaken, that would be better than either Higgins or Noel had last year. I'd be very happy with that, but that is quite a pick.
He may indeed be that good but the cupboard is full of some very capable receivers this year. It would be very hard to do.

Hoping Rocco has a great year! If so, it might be his last year at ISU! My guess is that we will have him for two more years. It will be great either way.
I never expect anyone to give to ISU as it is voluntary. But I suspect Brock will do very right by ISU, when the time comes. I'm sure he will want to give back. Anything he or anyone else gives, will be great.Given his inevitable contract, suspect Brock will be offering up
the football program more than sexy crates!
Agree. I think we will all love him him either way. He's such a great young man. Though we might love him just a bit more if he stayed a Cyclone, given other collegiate offers. He's so typical of our CMC "crops."Agree. I think we will all love him him either way. He's such a great young man. Though we might love him just a bit more if he stayed a Cyclone, given other collegiate offers. He has so far.

Not sure where else to put this, but hey. Good luck to him. Isheem Young to
Memphis.
I wasn't questioning anything that you wrote. I was simply commenting on the guy's comment on the video clip, regarding Sowell. I agree with you, that with all of depth it is highly unlikely that one receiver (Sowell or anyone else) will get 70 catches and 1200 yards. Not going to happen. It would be more than Higgins or Noel had in ‘23.
I said “more depth”, not that anyone was going to surpass those two.
The third most catches each year was 28 (Brahmer, then Burkle). Then it drops down to 11 amongst the receivers.
So, Townsend and Sowell have roughly the same talent range as Noel and Higgins.
Then Daniel Jackson is back healthy.
Brahmer is healthy. So is Cooper Alexander. And Burkle is back.
Lastly, Brett Eskildsen and Dominick Overby may have first round talent, when all is said and done.
All that, versus Higgins and Noel, with a half season from Burkle.
8ish > 2 1/2. Thus, more depth. Hope that clarifies what I wrote.
I trust you and your pulse on the squad, but same was said year after Breece. “We may have more overall depth in rb room”It would be more than Higgins or Noel had in ‘23.

And I will very pleasantly surprised if our offense takes another step forward. Yes, we have some good depth at some offensive skilled positions. And yes, we just had 3 of our offesive players drafted within the first 4 rounds. That hasn't happened before. That type of skill and production is hard to replace.I trust you and your pulse on the squad, but same was said year after Breece. “We may have more overall depth in rb room”
I’m here for it and certainly hope you’re right. Just don’t want to get expectations too high after our best draft class of all time departed.
