Wow, I asked a question. I don't see any problems being on this site because the Mods force it to be civil. Rightfully so!! I had my wife called a prostitute, my son a bastard child, was repeatedly accused of being "off my meds" and many worse things I won't repeat -- I hope folks here will look at the quality of my posts going forward and form their own opinions. The good old boy's club on CR is rather small BUT will not be argued with.......there will be no debate because everything is grand in cyclone land -- their opinion is law. IMHO, in the not too distant future, they will all have a nice little club that can pat each other on the back around one small table. It is the epitome of a clique.

You bragging about all the money you have didn't buy the friends you wanted? You are GDR's brother! You exagerate, lie, brag and manipulate to put yourself in a fairer light. No one ever called your wife a prostitute on that board and no one called your son a bastard. PC did remove posts in that thread(he removed one of mine) and he witnessed all that was going on. He's more rational and mature than you in this situation and realized you were getting what you deserved. Anyone asking if you were off your meds was well within their rights as evidenced by your unreasonable behavior. Please stop this, you have the power!

And also thanks to Cyentist and especially ISUFAN80 who are, just now, helping to set the record straight. MODS: I have no problem with you keeping this up.......I think it helps shed a clear light on what can happen. Please in fact!!!! It may be a good learning experience for some.

First of all let me say I love CF. It has developed into a very nice free board for ISU fans, especially after the free boards at CR were shut down. CF is the best it's ever been now with the addition of Chris Williams.

That said, a lot of people on here are selling CR short. If you're not into recruiting, it might not be worth you're money. But if you are, it definitely is. People say you can get the same information on here, but the reality is that without the databases at CR, it would be very hard for the average CF-only member to know who ISU is recruiting, except maybe some in-state prospects.

Also, the stories at CR provide a lot of information about what schools a prospect is favoring and might take visits to. A lot of times I see somebody on here post that we have a chance with a recruit just because his profile lists Iowa State, even though he never mentions ISU in his stories or he narrowed it down to a couple other schools a long time ago.

On top of that, Paul breaks more stories than he gets credit for. He was the first one to report the T.J. McCollough commitment. He was the first one to report that Sedrick Johnson was wavering on his commitment to Texas A&M on Signing Day 2008. He and Greg Ohlson at CSR do a great job figuring out who is visiting ISU and following up with them. You don't get that here for the most part.

CF has it's advantages too. There are more posters on here that can get inside information about players on the teams for example. The boards are free, so anybody can post what they find out or just interact with other Cyclone fans without having to pay for it.

The bottom line is that CR, CF, and CSR are all great places for Cyclone info, and they all have their advantages and disadvantages. I'm certainly glad to have all three of them.

As far as the Mccoullough commit, several people on this board knew before hand, but we didn't report it b/c the staff didn't want it out-although I have been guilty of this in the past, Paul was the first to report it, but many on CF knew but didn't because it wasn't what the staff wanted.

I personally havent followed enough on cyclonereport to follow the random drama that goes on there (i tend to just search for posts that might be worth reading, as opposed to reading the entire board there, like some do). So while i've heard of bekcy\cykt, etc, and bits and pieces of the drama surrounding him, i have not been witness to most of the drama on that board. Two sides to the story, and doubtless the truth is probably somewhere in between.

I would say lets give him a chance on here, and let his future posts determine his future here. If he's as bad as some of you like to suggest, he wont last the week here anyways. If he isnt, then maybe some of you coming over from CR need to step back and chill for a bit.

Nobody is "setting the record straight" over there.
At best, they aren't joining the rest of the board in openly cheering the dismissal.

I don't think you'll have to worry about being banned over here. The site's Ignore feature will get a workout though.
