I had over 1 billion credits and in the Top 5 on the old system and have 49,000 here. Did we all start over or is 49,000 just scaled down? Thanks and keep up the great work!

We all started over. It will be more fun this way!
I disagree.

What would be more fun though is if credits and points were separate so we could legitimately compare peoples betting abilities and not how often they post. (Looking at their post totals is a good gauge of this.)

My laptop spits out cash every time I post like a SkeeBall machine cranking out tickets. I like that feature. More $ for Likes and Rep!

Hmm, only $5 for that one. Wonder what I did wrong?

lots of people spent years betting and earning those points. Plus I heard at one time they could be traded for coupons to an actual store.

In order to spend our time wisely on adding in all the things people want and making sure Chris is able to give the best coverage possible of ISU Athletics, it simply wasn't an option to convert over the prior credits. If that upsets you, all I can do is offer my sympathy and hope that you like other parts of the site enough to make up for starting over on credits.

We love all that you guys do for the site. Frankly, it is unbelievable that we get such a great fan experience for free. I've been on lots of other sites for other teams and they almost always pale by comparison.

I lost most of my credits on sentimental bets, so I'm not feeling it personally, but I always thought it was cool to see that someone was a billionaire (or even trillionaire, I think). These guys earned some respect.

Here are two suggestions:

1. Maybe the Top 50 (or everyone over some high threshold like 500 million) should be given some bonus CyCash to start or have their points adjusted.

2. Is it possible for some of the CF tech geniuses who have tons of free time to volunteer to help with any of these sorts of things?

Is the CyCash the new betting material as opposed to points? If so, I approve.

I agree, it had to be done. Having 5,000,000,000,000 credits is pretty meaningless. Having 50,000 credits to bet with kind of brings it down to a figure that can be associated with everyday living. Now a 1000 credit bet means something.

The stock market has crashed. The ones truly worthy of respect will pick themselves up by their boot straps and will be millionaires again before long. Don't waste valuable time and money on this when there are more important ways to improve the site.

Oh, it doesnt bother me. I think pending a few bets i only had 30k to 150k as was, and i only bet a few times. I just remember seeing some posters on here who had millions to billions/trillions of credits and under 10 posts or so, which meant to me they spent a lot of time betting. I barely used the feature. Was just explaining how, in my opinion, someone could be "butt hurt" by losing their credits. I think the attention you guys give this site is fantastic, and I enjoy it tons. However, I would probably enjoy it more if you said "weiner" more often.

I would be happier to try and rebuild the sad bank I had managed to scrounge if the big bettors weren't allowed to hide! Nothing like riding coattails!
