If I would have said "We don't want Frankamp because we already have Custer and Thomas" someone would have replied with the that's racist gif, I would imagine.
All 3 of those guys are white, so I still don't get it. Maybe something is going over my head that I don't know about.

Really weird timing. Kind of surprised. Although he didn't do much last year, he had a few moments in the tournament.

I don't find the timing that weird. Practice has started, the season is around the corner. I imagine the lineup it kind of starting to shape up and guys are getting a sense of where they fall in the pecking order. I'll bet he saw the writing on the wall that his role this year wasn't going to be what he thought and decided to get out before he enrolled next semester.

I don't know. My mind is on getting black out hammered dressed up and a airplane pilot tonight. It's making me think stupid stuff.

So is your costume a "drunk airline pilot" or are you going as a normal airline pilot who just happens to get drunk?

Well, anyone leaving Kansas is a great thing. But not sure how much time Frankamp would've had on the court.
You are not sure how much PT he would see, but it is a great thing he is leaving?

I'd rather guys like White, Frankamp, and the kid that wanted to be Babb would stay 4 years. With how KU recruits, scholarships being tied up by average guys is good for ISU.

And what good will that scholarship do for Kansas this year when Iowa State tries toppling them? No good, whatsoever.

So, for the present, yes, I am fine with anyone, even if they aren't in the starting 5, leaving Kansas.

This seems crazy to me, but where Fred has us now, I don't think Frankamp is good enough for ISU if he was even eligible to transfer to ISU from KU.

I do wonder about KU's shooting though. For a significant stretch last year KU had a poor 3p% and that allowed teams to pack the inside. To me, Self seemed determined to put his best athletes out there for the defense but then sacrificed the skill on offense to space out their opponent. If those other players don't shoot well from the perimeter it could be a chink in their armor this year.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you go to KU, you had better be in the "1 & done" category, or you will probably never start.

All things being equal between a guy like Frankamp and a top 10-20 player that is slotted to be 1 & done, the 1 & done will be showcased and get the lion's share of the minutes.

That helps KU recruit 1 & done's, but it should also hurt a little in the guys they recruit that aren't expecting to be 1-2 year college players.

Not a problem if you're Diallo or Monk, but if I'm Mitchell Ballock, I'm taking this into account.

KU losing their 11th man will have no impact on KU's finish in the Big 12. If anything it helps out the chemistry issue.

Interesting to read the KU boards concerning this. Seems like many felt he would get a chunk of playing time this year and that the dad was the key factor in making the move. It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

Maybe that had something to do with the timing. Got a little too hopeful about 2014-15 hopes, got to practice and realized 'nope'

I'm surprised UK doesn't have more players transfer than they do.
I know it's great to sign with one of the country's top programs--- until you get there and look around at the other 4 or 5 McD AAs and wonder-- am I going to get to play?
