I was in a "discussion" with a die hard Iowa Basketball fan today and he indicated that Colvin may have grade issues. This is the first I have heard of this and didnt know if it had any legs. He also stated that all of these players leaving is a postive thing for the Hawk program..."now lick can get his guys in here that fit his system" so take it for what it is worth.

How is losing your best player good for your program? That would be like us saying that losing Wes Johnson was a good thing.

According to Rivals - Lick's guys are in fact two of the four that are leaving for unknown reasons.
Peterson visited Iowa earlier, but Lick is listed as the one that recruited him. And he committed after Lickliter was hired so Peterson is a Lickliter guy.
Davis was recruited the following year, so this was definitely a Lick guy....
Now Kelly was an Alford guy and probably the MVP of the team and his reason for leaving could be either not liking the coach or the tragedy of last year - regardless he's not a lickliter guy and go figure he's the best ball player on the team!!!!!
