I’m glad to read that they seem to think the locker room issues are resolved.

I’m not quite as optimistic about Thursday because Baylor is a bad matchup. And, more importantly, I’m not convinced this team doesn’t take the good effort Saturday and decide all problems are solved and go out with another bad effort. Plus, with babb and shayok battling injuries that’s just trouble.

We're fanatics so it's natural to be hopeful. My old man says if something smells a certain way, looks a certain way, gives you a feeling, don't overlook that. This team has looked and smelled like a pig for some time. I'm not going to attempt to put lipstick on it. But I'll watch in hope nonetheless.

Not a chance I believe till I see it with this team. Barely losing to a good team in Hilton doesn't do it for me. Average ISU teams can beat great teams in Hilton. I'll be happy if they win just one game in KC, but I don't believe they will.

Love that what happened senior night brought them together a little bit but hope they aren't putting all Cyclone fans in that category

Our fan base needs to stop with this nonsense, we match up just fine with Baylor. Yes, in years past their length was a huge problem but that isn't the case with their current squad.

Based on what I saw Saturday, I'm feeling pretty good about Thursday. My only question - and @ChrisMWilliams, maybe you can shed some light on this - is what's going on with Cam Lard? He's going to be important going forward, at least hopefully.

I think somebody on the forum said there was no formal suspension.

It was just a DNP coach's decision -- Prohm liked Conditt's energy and wanted to play him.

Part of that feels like getting a heard start on next season, however. I am comfortable with Jacobson, Young, Conditt, and Anderson as our big men next year.

Conditt's development (or lack of the same) is going to be huge for the program.

It is a bad matchup because they have strengths where ISU has weaknesses. They didn't win both games because of talent.
Agree. Our four guard lineup loses its advantage against Baylor’s small-ball. And they still have length advantage at the five.

I don't know if I feel good about their chances, but I certainly feel better about them than I did before last Saturday. There was some progress made. Was it enough for them to turn the corner and start winning again? We'll see.

If Lard's 6 points 3 rebounds average can't be filled, we have much larger problems. He just hasn't shown any of the promise he showed last year and it feels like he has more issues bubbling up these past couple weeks. Give me Conditt's energy and passion over Lard's.
