Was with Petrino at Arkansas. Interesting. Hope he stays. We need stability.

Yes, but Mangino in the past had coached the offense from the offensive line

I'm not sure how I feel about it. We keep him, he has that intensity to really spark our players. He goes, Mangino brings in one of his own guys. Either option has its pros and cons.

I can't imagine Petrino would offer the job without speaking to him first. Looks like he's getting the band back together.

This coupled with the fact that he didn't get the OC position and it sounds like we are going to be steering away from the pistol a bit this year makes me think he is probably going to leave.

Probably gone. He most likely feels a little upset/cheated that he didn't get the OC job.

I really like Coach K and hopes he stays, he's a well respected quality coach and the O line could use a little stability right now.

EDIT: After reading the rest of the threads and the tweets from the players I've changed my tune, sounds like him leaving is for the best.

Whenever there is a staff shakeup, it is common for there to be secondary moves as well. I would imagine we won't have to wait and wonder for very long--CPR and Mangino have a presser today.

Here's where Rhoads recruiting skills kick in:

Chris, I know you've only known me a year, but you do your job here, you got a job as long as you want it or until you take a step up. Go to L'ville, you are right back at the mercy of Bobby and when he gets his next itchin' for a new job or a new piece of A on his Harley. C'mon man, easy choice unless you like getting hung out to dry.

I hope he stays. With Petrino's track record you really have to wonder how long he will be in Lville this time around. KXNO had a LVille talk radio guy on yesterday and he was listing off the last several years of Petrino's resume and I'm not sure any of us could get a job with his record of publicly looking around and never being in a place very long. He said this is great for local talk radio because he's never seen any fanbase so polarized over Petrino's hiring. Also called it something to the nature of "Infidelity U" with Petrino and Petino both there
