Colbray goes down 2-9 to Holschlag of UNI. He was in deep on a shot in the first period and Holschlag managed to get his shoulders just past 90 degrees for the ref to start a TD count under the new scramble rules. I thought it looked like Colbray could have bailed but either that was wrong or he didn't realize the count was happening. So he ended up giving up 2 and fighting from behind the whole match.

He's got a lot to work on from bottom.
What's the scoop on Holschlag? Should Colbray be getting beat (and that badly) by someone of his caliber?

Jackson loved high credentialed freestyle wrestlers, but as you can see, that doesn't always work well in the college folkstyle mat game.

Think you'll see Dresser and Co. focusing more on strong folkstyle kids

Is there any update on St. John and his injury? I almost forgot he could contribute this year.

Swalla got pinned by #7 ranked Bernstain in the third period.
Not that it matters, but Swalla got teched. Flo has it wrong. They were on their feet when the match was called. Guy was ranked #4 so no surprise either way.

Colbray goes down 5-6 to Cervantes of Navy. He was in on a shot at the end but wasn't able to get deep enough to finish it.

I don’t think it has as much to do with FS credentials as desire to be a great college wrestler. When KD talks about changing culture...Colbray is top of mind. Actually, kind of surprise he is still on team. Hopefully, that means he is trying to do the things he needs to do to be successful but sure not showing it with his results.

Straw takes out #15 ranked Staudemeyer 9-8 to stay alive in the consolations!

My video on mat 1 was down, but watch it from mat 2 video feed. Good match. I still think Straw has a lot of potential.
