Allison goes down 2-4 after giving up a reversal. I think he should have gotten a restart when they went out of bounds with about 20 seconds left but it probably didn't matter.

Pestano struck first against #8 Ellingwood but wasn't able to pull off the upset. He loses 6-4.

Mat wrestling was the issue for Dane in that match. Got two TDs but gave up two quick escapes, and also got rode out in the 2nd period. Difference in the match right there.

Also, I was just following the stick figures, not actually watching, so maybe he let him up intentionally in the 3rd to try and get another takedown, but the point remains regardless.

Getting ridden out the entire second period lost the match for Pestano. Looked tough on his feet and conditioning looked solid. Liked what he brought in periods 1 and 3, not so much period 2.

Storr wins his first one. Nothing big, 6-2. Good positioning and tough to score on.

Degen rolling in the second period. Up 10-2 with RT.
If there is any way to have Gomez, Parker, Simmons, Storr, Degen and Carr in the lineup at the same time (which I know there isn't realistically), that would be a great foundation for the program.

Not exactly sure.
A little weak on the college names the last couple years. What happens when you have a HS kid and that's what you watch all the time. Are any of the opponents so far, ranked or qualifiers so far?

The guy who beat Pestano is ranked #8. Straw's guy #19. Other than that not yet. But that'll change. Just about everybody is going to get a guy ranked between 16-20 either this round or nex.t

Rahmani is a funky dude. ACC champ last year. Has some different techniques that make him hard to wrestle.

BCClone -- no big wins yet. Pestano had a big match against #8 from CMU, but came up a bit short.

Straw's match was a lot tighter than 5-11 for most of it. I missed what happened to cause the backpoints he gave up at the end but I think he was just going for a desperation takedown.

He was in on the match tying shot and Rahmani countered for the takedown. Then got a nearside head and arm for some NF.

Colbray goes down 2-9 to Holschlag of UNI. He was in deep on a shot in the first period and Holschlag managed to get his shoulders just past 90 degrees for the ref to start a TD count under the new scramble rules. I thought it looked like Colbray could have bailed but either that was wrong or he didn't realize the count was happening. So he ended up giving up 2 and fighting from behind the whole match.

He's got a lot to work on from bottom.
