Lack of denial says something too.I'm not buying this one. The guy who broke the news (and who PFF is citing) is a radio host in Tampa with a few thousand Twitter followers. Nobody else is reporting it.

And so the plummet in records begins. How long will 8-4 egos last? NOT long.I'm guessing if SEC adds the TX/OU/CLEM/FSU the next step will be kicking out the schools that don't bring viewers like Missouri and Vanderbilt.
Be careful what you ask for. 'Rivalries' are not established overnight. They want rivalries with big brands they just don't give a **** about ones like the Apple Bowl or the Iowa-ISU game. They'd love a Clemson-South Carolina conference rivalry or Clemson-Georgia.
You're a byproduct of what you're taught. That aside, several on here have compiled the numbers and that statement is not even close to being true.I would bet Texas and OU indivdually draw more viewers than the rest of the big 12 combined. Nationally, people care about Texas and OU. Nationally people don't care about the rest of the big 12.
Like $75M a year revenue split will ease a lot of tension. And so the plummet in records begins. How long will 8-4 egos last? NOT long.
Do Cubs fans care that their team makes alot of money?Like $75M a year revenue split will ease a lot of tension.
Does the Cubs ownership care the fans are mad?Do Cubs fans care that their team makes alot of money?
Maybe administrators and university, but not among fans.Like $75M a year revenue split will ease a lot of tension.
When you realize that the gate and viewership directly affect the media rights value and your bottom line, yes.Does the Cubs ownership care the fans are mad?

Great post in another thread.can you link those numbers for me? didn't see where those were posted. there's a lot of **** to weed through on these threads anymore.
i sincerely hope you are right and i am wrong.
Has anyone with any credibility spoken to this rumor? Or was it just one guy on twitter?
I can hear it already. ESPN and SEC will promote the idea that 8-4 in the SEC is equivalent to 11-1 outside the SEC, so these teams should still be given a slot in the playoffs. And so the plummet in records begins. How long will 8-4 egos last? NOT long.
will it? or will it just give them more money to throw around at buyouts and a carousel of coaching changes?Like $75M a year revenue split will ease a lot of tension.
There most definitely be bullsh*t like this promoted.I can hear it already. ESPN and SEC will promote the idea that 8-4 in the SEC is equivalent to 11-1 outside the SEC, so these teams should still be given a slot in the playoffs.
Sh*t, it already happens...There most definitely be bullsh*t like this promoted.
