I couldn't believe how many students seemed to be there. I even went and double checked their academic calendar and they were done a while back. Tons of students just live in Cincinnati I'm guessing?

I didn't learn a lot from the Cincy board thread, but I did learn some things I had assumed wrongly:

- UC is a public university, not private
- 43k enrollment (33k undergrad, 34k at main campus)
- Top 100 engineering programs, top 50 in most disciplines
- Also has a big medical school

I found it interesting. Your mileage may vary.

I don't know anything about U of Cincinnati, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was a big commuter student body that's mostly from Cincy and the suburbs.

I read that that they offered the student tickets to high school kids if they agreed to buy all of the games on break.

Looked like there was a little bit more during the actual game. The typical stuff: Niang slowly driving an opposing fanbase insane, "why do good players want to play in Iowa?", etc.

Because Ohio is known for it's beauty. Cleveland, Dayton, Cincinnati.

Beauty aside, Cincy is probably a slightly more fun place for non Iowan college kids than Ames, Iowa. Not that Ames is as boring as those who've never been there envision it to be.

One of my best friends is a Bearcat. He loves his team and really likes the Clones. I reciprocate.

Sounds similar to U of Houston- primarily commuter school with similar enrollment.
