You miss the A&M game because you're attending the wedding of one of your wife's friends, and you publicly state that you enjoy watching The Bachelor with your wife?

Ouch.

Yes I've been happily married for a long time! When The Bachelor comes on at our house, I head straight to the man cave. Chris has the ultimate excuse to get out of a wedding - his job requires that he watch the Cyclones!

I think the sin is enjoying the Bachelor, not watching it. Obviously, there are times where we must do things we'd rather not for the sake of keeping them happy but I fear Chris is suffering from a bit of stockholm syndrome.

You know what? I have the feeling guys in the first few years of their marriage probably are ok with making sacrifices (see: watching The Bachelor) to help keep their wife happy.
Because remember, a happy Wife means you have a better chance of going to bed happy.

I, too, have the same disdain for this "Bachelor" discussion. I have sat in on an episode or two and, while some of these women are pretty good eye candy, they're almost too dumb to even consider dating. Ouch, I know.

Sorry, Chris, you run some good stories, but you leave me no choice...

I can only assume that Chris is doin' a little Mystery Science Theater with that Bachelor show. That has worked in the past for me on annoying shows, and usually gets me out of watching sh** like that show. :jimlad:

Seriously though Chris, the Bachelor? Really?

Chris is a young guy. He hasn't had time to learn how to avoid these types of indignities. Give him some time.

I've never got the concept of watching a show you claim to hate because there are hot chicks on it.

This is the internet era, people. If you want to look at attractive ladies, you don't need to sit through crappy TV to do it.

My guess is that when someone says they watch a show because there are attractive chicks on it, they actually kinda like the show.

I agree. Hotness can only cancel out stupidity for a very short time.
