ok Hand:

I'm taking down a far amount of Leinenkugels tonight and your killing the buzz with the 08's

Sorry man...I just wanted to make sure everyone realized the difference in players we are seeing take interest and committing. This is in a short few months of recruiting. I can't wait to see us recruit over the next few years. I am pretty stoked.

Now I will save someone the reply by saying.
Talent doesn't equal winning.

Michigan State student here..

Congrats on getting Chris Allen. He's a great player, and I wish him all the best.

Not trying to brush off your comment, but MSU plays a very "uptempo" style. I'm pretty positive MSU's offense tempo will be just as fast, if not, faster than ISU's. So-called "expert" analysts on ESPN think because we're in Big Ten, we always play slow-paced, half-court offense -- not true at all.

Allen's style of play fit just fine to MSU's offense. 8 ppg might not seem much, but it was highly unlikely for one player to average 20+ a game because we had so many quality players. Nonetheless, he's a great player and I'm sure he'll be a big addition to your team.

True. year-to-year MSU is probably the fastest of Big Ten teams, and its teams like Wisconsin that give Big Ten bball the sloooooowwww stereotype. If you're conf generally plays a slower pace of offense, its hard not to get slowed up a bit, and fall in to that stereotype as well.

I am interested to see how fast our offense is... coaching, style of play and pace are big question marks.
