You an Iowa State sports writer? Bro?

I’m honestly not sure what I’ve done in this thread to make anyone think any different. I said I enjoyed the podcast (I did). I said you guys have done exactly what Jon wanted you to (You have). I’ve never defended anything Jon said. I’ve never said anything anti-Iowa State.

At the rate (looking at the numbers this morning), this is going to at the very least crack the top 10 for our most listened to podcasts. Didn't expect all of you guys to love Jon. I haven't looked but I'm sure the posters on HN aren't crazy about me. Just wanted throw out a fun, different, interesting piece on game week supporting a mutual sponsor of the two sites.

I listened to the whole thing Chris and loved it! It sounded like a couple of devoted, well-informed fans having a fun back and forth over a couple drinks. I live in Eastern Iowa and have had many conversations just like that. In my opinion, this was a lot of fun to listen to.

Cool story. Put it in ISR where it belongs.

Iowa State football plays Iowa this week. I don't think it's outrageous to have a podcast dedicated to this week's game in the football forum.

In-State Rivals is a place for everything else to go year-round.
It is when it's primarily diarrhea spewing from Jon Miller's filthy suck.

If I were Chris, I would have been annoyed at how Jon approached the interview, because Chris was mostly professional and came in with the right mindset. But, the first 20+ minutes was Jon trolling everything Chris said and everything Iowa State has done surrounding our approach to the Rivalry game. The intention was great, and appreciated (at least I did), but that doesn't mean Cyclone fans aren't going to call Jon a doucher because he did a joint podcast. He did what he does, and that is what people don't like about Jon.

I listened to the whole thing, and found myself rolling my eyes a handful of times (even audibly voicing my displeasure to nobody) at things that Jon would say. Kudos to Chris for how he stayed so silent/calm when Jon was obviously taking shots (with terrible takes) constantly to start the pod. But, I still liked hearing about players/schemes/etc. that I didn't know about the Hawkeyes previously.

P.S. - That "Marketing" stance Jon took is the pettiest thing I have EVER heard haha. Did he really think Campbell was trying to "claim" the "Fight for I, S, U" as his own "genius" marketing?? lol

You know what I would like to see, a podcast of two equals. Find the biggest ******* of an Iowa state fan and have that person do a podcast with one of the biggest ******* of an Iowa fan, Jon miller.

I want someone who when Jon starts in on how Iowa shouldn't play the game, will call him out on it and point out how that is hypocritical. Instead, Chris basically agreed with him.

I'm surprised at how many people listened to the podcast despite the fact that they don't like Jon Miller, although I guess maybe I shouldn't be. What did you think you were going to get? He's like Stephen A. or Cowherd but without the fame, money, or platform. He's trying to get under your skin, and he pretty clearly succeeded.
