Since I have calmed down from the news I realized we aren’t in that terrible of a spot. I really liked Casey’s style and intensity. Was his mat wrestling the best? No but this is a contact sport and you can’t deny he understood that aspect.
I too have calmed down.. I'm still worried about the "team" part of this. Someone anyone doens't matter who needs to step up and be the glue, the fire, the hype. They got to be the ones to drive the team family dynamic.

Couldn’t agree more. It felt like when David was competing everyone gravitated towards him. I was hoping Casey would take that up and be the guy.

Hearing Jacob on the radio he has a great personality. I know both him and Evan are more show by doing instead of talking but I would love nothing more then to have them both become more of those vocal guys.

Heck look at UNI right now that entire team has a bound you can just tell they are ready to go to war for each other. Corners are always hyped up (I'm not talking about the jumping temu brands) that's what we had last year.

I talked to him in the can during the Saturday evening social. He did not lead on to anything then and even said he loved where he was at.
I heard the last straw that made him decide to enter the portal was a creepy guy who insisted on having a conversation with him while he was on the shitter.

I think we have to wait a few years before making this call. Wrestling was top heavy long before NIL, see what the landscape is like in a couple years.
That's sort of what I meant. Wrestling was/has always been top heavy and those on the top will remain now with NIL imho because they will have the funds to do so.

This might not be a popular opinion, but if it truly is due to a logjam at the middle weights I would take him over Johnson. I just feel like Swiderski puts it all.on the lien all the time, I don't know if I can say the same for Johnson.

I think at the core this is why Dresser and Co are so frustrated…it’s been stated Casey wasn’t beating Paniro in wrestle-offs correct? But yet Casey AA’d and Paniro hasn’t put together a solid Nationals in 2 years now, so how do you work around that dichotomy?!?! Dresser was CLEARLY PO’d in post match interviews when he was addressed about Paniro…ALL the tools are their just refuses to let them go

You, as the coach, make a decision and use on the mat results to justify it. When the lights shine brightest, who gets results?

I know for a fact that UNI does not have wrestle offs typically to determine spots. They use match results at tournaments etc. it’s hard to tell who is actually better if your opponent is a practice partner

Not really. It might be killing your team. It might take one of your players. It's not killing the sports, though. In fact, it's really improved the parity within sports.
No way. Big money teams will win more, just like big market teams win more in pro sports. It is no different.

I agree 100% with Johnson having all the tools. If we get the Johnson that beat Gomez a year or 2 ago then yes, but he just seems to never push the pace.

Iawrestle "post"? I investigated it some more and it appears someone has edited his portal announcement. Saw a similar post with UNI.

I'll assume it isn't true then, but I'll admit they were the first school I thought of with Parco's lease expired.
