As if the efficacy and low cost wasn't enough good news, it appears these treatments were not unpleasant at all for the patients.

Contrast that with the highly toxic, very expensive, and much less effective treatments we currently have, and this new treatment could be considered a miracle. Hope they can fast track studies on how to expand this type of immunotherapy to other cancers.

I received a ton of nice messages from CF members when I mentioned in this post that I had neck cancer. I thought I would let those people know that I just got results back from my PET scan and it shows I'm cancer free. I really appreciate the support this group(even the ones on Politics;)) has provided over the years.

I hope something like this works. About to go through for the second time with the wife. **** Cancer.
The after effects of the first have never left our life and here we are again.

Glad to hear your good news DM.
Positive thoughts in you and your wife's direction!!!

These early results always seem too good to be true, but one of these days a true game changer will be found. Maybe this is it.

Agreed! If cancer can finally be eliminated, that would be incredible, and the bonus news would be that I could finally stop running all of those 5K’s!

BTW-I'm still alive. I can't wait to see the day when we look back at the current ways as being barbaric. Even the cancer I dealt with has come a long way. 10 years ago, I would have had to have partial neck dissection to remove the lymph nodes. Radiation killed the lymph nodes in my neck but I was happy to not have part of my neck removed.
